You are encouraged to share your ideas for new Active Worlds features by posting them to the WishList newsgroup, where they can be openly discussed and refined. Keep in mind that many suggestions are made and it is not possible to use them all. Several factors will have to be carefully considered such as how popular an idea is, how much time might be required to implement it, and how it might effect the future potential of Active Worlds. For this reason, you should try to state your suggestion as clearly and thoroughly as possible and be prepared to discuss it with other people who may have questions or comments and perhaps a difference of opinion.
Once an idea has been discussed and refined, you may want to consider entering it into the Suggestion Box for possible future addition to the Feature Vote page.
If you would like to see a change made in an existing feature, again you are encouraged to post your suggestions to the WishList newsgroup for possible discussion. Keep in mind that other people may have reasons for wanting different things than you want and it is important that changes be considered carefully from multiple viewpoints before being made. For example, if one person would like to be able to listen in on someone else's conversations no matter where they go but another person feels that would violate their privacy, there is a conflict of interest and it would obviously not be possible for both people to have their way.
When suggesting a change to an existing feature, or responding to such a suggestion, try to consider both the possible benefits and the possible adverse side effects of such a change. For example, some changes might be possible which would enhance certain aspects of building but may damage or even completely ruin some existing builds. Of course no one person can be expected to consider all potential effects of a change, which is why an open discussion can be so beneficial.
