All of the text messages displayed by the Active Worlds Browser itself, including the text in menus and on buttons in dialog boxes, are contained in an external ASCII file in order to make support for languages other than English possible.
As the AW browser is developed, some of the text messages used are exported, and stored in the default.awm message file. Messages files have the extension ".awm" and are found in the "Messages" folder inside the Active Worlds main folder. You can create and save your own message file, but do not save over the default.awm file. It is not necessary to include entries in your file which are you plan to leave exactly as they are in the default.awm file, since Active Worlds will look in default.awm for any entries it fails to find in your selected message file.
You can select which message set to currently use from the Advanced Settings dialog.
