Slide Show

Note that is this is preliminary documentation. The interface portion of this feature is still in development and the details described here will not match the final product.

Overview

The goal of the slideshow feature is to provide you with the ability to show portions of your screen to other users in the world. You can also use this to show a series of images. This is useful for virtual conferencing and sharing power point presentations.

Usage

Note that in order to run a presentation you must have rights to do so in the world. These rights are granted in the World License Dialog, not the world rights dialog.

Once you have the rights to run a presentation, you can begin by opening the dialog under Tools » Slide Show.

Click and drag the button onto the window which you would like to show to other users in the world. Note that here "window" can be an antire application, or just a small part of it. You could select a running session of notepad and other users would see your notepad program, including the title bar and menu. Or you could select the window inside of that, and they would just see the text you've written. It's best to experiment with this feature to get a clear sense of what users will see.

Privacy

You should be cautious what you select for security reasons. You do not want to show everyone whatever private information might be visible on your desktop, so be careful what you show them!

Once you select a window, it will be sent to all other users in the area.
