The Active Worlds UniServer can be configured to interact directly with SkipJack Merchant Services. Once you have set up an account with SkipJack, your UniServer can talk to SkipJack's transaction server through an intermediary web server running PHP in order to process live credit card transactions.

Installing SkipJack

First you need to install the SkipJack software on your web server. SkipJack requires a Windows NT Server running IIS 4+. Download and install the SkipJack software from SkipJack.

Next, download UniSkipJack.zip, unzip the archive, and read the included readme.txt for further installation instructions.

Once you have established your SkipJack account and set up UniSkipJack.exe, enabling for-pay registration in the universe requires the creation of a [billing] section in the universe.ini file. A typical [billing] section for SkipJack might look like this:

The host=, port=, and url= fields specify the server and URL to which the UniServer should POST the completed credit card request and wait for a response. When using a SkipJack account, the host is your web server, and the url is the path to the AwSkipJack.php file on your web server.
