The Show Menu allows you to turn on and off the display of
various types of information. Note that many of the items on
the show menu also have function key shortcuts:
Position: Toggles the display of your current position (e.g. "AlphaWorld at 5N 0W facing NE")
in the title bar of the main browser window.
Visibility: Toggles the display of your current visible range (how far you can see in
all directions). You can adjust your visible range in the Performance Dialog.
Your visible range is displayed in meters in the status bar at the bottom of the main browser window.
Bandwidth: Toggles the display of the current rate at which data is being downloaded from
the Internet (in kilobytes per second) in the status bar at the bottom of the main browser window.
Downloads...: Toggles the display of the Downloads Window which shows which files are
currently being downloaded from the Internet:
Download Progress: Toggles the display of the download progress bar (new in 3.2)
in the status bar at the bottom of the main browser window.
Altitude: Toggles the display of your current altitude (in meters) in the status bar at the
bottom of the main browser window.
Property Updates: Toggles the display of property updates (in number of bytes received) in the status
bar at the bottom of the window. This display will also change to the message "Waiting For Server"
if communication with the world server has been lost.
Toolbar: Toggles the display of the toolbar at the top of the main browser window.
Gestures: Toggles the display of the avatar gesture buttons at the top of the main browser window.
Tabs: Toggles the display of the tab window on the
left side of the main browser window.
