There are some basic textures used in most building models in AlphaWorld. In the newer objects, these textures are used "across the board," that is--they are available in each panel type, each wall type, floor and walk type, etc. There are still some inconsistencies, but we are working on resolving these to make it easier for new builders. Please bear with us when we make changes to models or the model naming scheme between versions.
Note:"16" is currently used for the non-textured "glass" materials and "17" is currently used for "bump panels," these will most likely be changed. Other numbers may also change in the future as conflicts in the model naming scheme are resolved. Whenever the model scheme changes, this file will also change to match, and all models in existence at the time will be converted to the new scheme so as to preserve the look (as much as possible) of existing building. About "Z" Objects We won't list Z objects here, They are restricted to use by Worlds employees for various reasons. If you click on an object in AlphaWorld and you see that its name starts with "Z" then that object is not available for general building. Older Objects Supported Only For Compatability Before the new scheme of (semi-)uniform numbering, several object naming and size schemes were tried and abandoned. All three meter objects and several of the panels that don't fall into the current scheme are in this category, as well as some walls. These are maintained to preserve building time invested by our citizens in the past. However, these objects may (and have in the past) changed in appearance. Some of these objects have problems, but we don't want to "fix" them since that would break things that have been built with them already. |
