Caring's Atlantis Recommendation

The sign in front says: Welcome to Red Valley Rift, EnjoyThe Journey and I am sure that you will enjoy the many facets of this build by Red Sorceress and located at 873.5S 0.0W 0.1a 90.

The entire site is based on her story "The Reigning Red Sorceress". The valley is very big with much to see and do, including the telling of the story in several ways. One of these is called "The Journey". While reading the story through the use of her web site, you'll be given walking directions or teleported to the location where the event you're reading took place.
Enjoy the journey.

Bonzai Town - AWTeen 200.6s 1900.6e

Another of UTN's Core towns, Bonzai Town is definitely a town with structure. From the buildings to the way the town is run, you can tell this is a place that is all about form and function. The town's 4 Level governing hierarchy allows anyone to get involved with the town easily, and the town itself has all the amenities a resident could need. Be sure to check out the semi-3D map of the town west of GZ to see all that this place has to offer and give up a huge 'banzai!' for Bonzai Town!

VIVA LAS VEGAS

In Alphaworld there is a place to gamble, dance, and party all day and all night long. Walk the strip from hotel to hotel along Las Vegas blvd. All the favorite real life hotel casino resorts are here modeled in this town in aw style. This is a special build to visit because last year in June was the real aw reunion in the real Vegas, boy was that fun! Just dont get stuck in an elevator with Mountian Myst alone! Till next month happy exploring and Happy Bday AW :) Coords for Vegas in AW 401S 605w

AWTeen's Recommendation

This month, I thought that I'd recommend to Mountain Myst a different sort of building than has been featured in the past. On Friday, 3-Dimensional object rotation was enabled in AWTeen to compliment the special commands that are already available. Unfortunately, after sending a console message asking for submissions of buildings to be featured, I received so many E-Mails notifying me of excellent buildings that it was impossible to make a decision among them.

Seiya Faye is a relatively new face around AWTeen, but has accomplished more than many builders have in several years. She won a building contest sponsored by the AWTeen Building committee just a few days ago, which is why I feel that it's only fair that her building be featured in this month's newsletter.

Located at 1308.78N 1364.14W, Seiya's creation features some interesting applications of new 3.3 commands. The entire building is rotated in some way or another, creating graceful curves previously thought impossible. Pulsating lights using the corona command add to the beauty of this scene. In Seiya's own words:

"This build that I made using the all new 3.3 rotate and corona abilites surprised me even. I had found that my creative abilites were even more expanded with 3.3 The build was made using a new type of support and new type of roofing, consisting all of the new rotates. Getting the rotates perfectly aligned was a challenge, and I found that though it was difficult, there are many wonderful things that can be designed and built. This build was something I came up with as I built it, I started out just experimenting with these new rotates and found out I can almost build designs that i only dreamed of, perhaps 3.4 will fill that perfectly for me. I had no assistance in this project, but my inspiration came to me from all the other builders who are very friendly and sort of look up to me at futuristic design. All in all I believe with a little practice, 3.3 rotates can become very useful in the right hands."

Be sure to visit Seiya's build to see what's possible using this new version of Activeworlds!
