Activeworlds Inc., the premier 3-D internet community and e-commerce internet site, announced today that it has released Red Hat Linux versions of the Active Worlds servers. In addition, Activeworlds.com will be providing full support to Linux users for its product lines consisting of World Servers, Galaxervers and Uniservers.

"The Linux community is gaining considerable market share and Activeworlds.com is committed to porting Active Worlds to those platforms that have established a leading position in the market place," said JP McCormick, Chairman of Activeworlds.com. "The Red Hat Linux version is one such platform that more and more of our users are requesting support on."

Activeworlds.com now offers its server line of products on Windows 98, Windows NT, Unix and Linux.
