Activeworlds Plug-in
Minimum System Requirements:
Pentium 4 CPU 1GHz or equivalent
256MB RAM System Memory
Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP3
Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later
Windows Media Player 7 or later
OpenGL, Software Render, DirectX 8 or later
Video card with at least 32MB and the latest drivers.
However, for an adequate experience in Active Worlds we recommend the following minimum:
Pentium Dual Core CPU 2GHz or equivalent
2 GB RAM System Memory
Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (with their latest Service Pack)
Internet Explorer 7 or later
Windows Media Player 9 or later
DirectX 9.0 or later
Hardware accelerated 3D graphic card with at least 128MB dedicated video memory (i.e. GeForce 7000 series or later, or equivalent) and its latest drivers

World Servers 6.0
The World Server 6.0 is now available for those world owners who are interested in hosting their own worlds.
Important note: the World Server requires unrestricted access to the
internet in order to function. Running behind a firewall, proxy server,
or any other type of network configuration that blocks incoming
connections is NOT supported.
The administration tool for world servers is included with the installer for the Windows version of the World Server, but must be downloaded separately here if you are using the Solaris or Linux versions of the World Server:
