Building
In Active Worlds you can build anything you want - a
space ship, an impenetrable fortress, a nice house in the country or even
the countryside itself. If you can imagine it, you can build it! The possibilities are limitless.
There are over 1000 worlds to build and explore
in. Some of the popular public building worlds include Yellowstone, Mars,
Metatropolis, Atlantis, and of course the original AlphaWorld.
If you desire some assistance with learning how to build, you may visit
the AW School and find an AW community volunteer to walk you through some
of the finer tips and tricks of building.
One of the most rewarding aspects of
Active Worlds is showing off your work of art, as well as exploring the work
of others!
Avatars
In Active Worlds your own 3D avatar represents you.
There are a vast number of avatars to choose from. You can change your
avatar with just the simple click of a button. Avatars can run, jump, fly,
dance, and enable you to express a whole host of emotions. So say good bye
to your old one-dimensional emoticons. :)
Play Games
From marathon trivia games to league bowling nights,
Active Worlds is home to dozens of creative gaming environments.
Many developers have taken advantage of the Activeworlds extensive
Software Development Kit to implement an array of different virtual games
