Active Worlds Technology Celebration

This February, an exciting new event is coming to Active Worlds. The Active Worlds Technology Celebration is an event that will showcase new and interesting software that will improve your Active Worlds experience. This software, all of which is at the forefront of Active Worlds technology, will grab your attention. From bots that improve building, to new games, to innovative use of objects and avatars - there's something for everyone in the community to see and try out.

Technology Celebration

The event will take place on February 29, 2008, at 11PM VRT, in the world "NewEra." The world will open at 10PM for citizens and tourists to converse and enjoy the atmosphere.

Many presenters will unveil projects that have not been previously released to the public. Presenter Byte will unveil a new experimental building enhancer, and Brant will unveil a world first virtual reality innovation - and that's just two of the many presenters at the very start of the ceremony. After all the cool stuff is announced, the Technology Celebration will conclude with the announcement of a new community initiative that will herald a new era of creativity for Active Worlds.

In addition to the in-world portions of the celebration, longstanding Active Worlds citizen Goober King will be on top of all the action with The Goober Zone, a radio program that has won him awards for his world-class wit. Don't miss his insightful commentary as he interviews (and sometimes grills) the presenters. If you've listened to his show before, you'll know that Goober leaves no stone unturned when it comes to discussing AW, and you won't want to miss this episode.

Come out and join the community this February 29 for this one-of-a-kind celebration. An event this big only happens once every four years!
