OMG someone put a road through my project!

Actually no one can put a road through your project unless they have administrator rights with AWI, your privilege password, or worse, your password. If you think your account is hijacked change all of your passwords. Since the items in question came to be on your account you can simply erase them.

Foreign Objects

However if the road is not on your account you are dealing with a common builder dilemma. You likely discovered the road (or other obstruction) while expanding your project or while claiming land. The first rule of building is to claim ALL the land you need first. When you discover the road your only choice is to contact the original builder. If you get no response and the objects are really really old you may request the Peacekeeper Garbage Elimination Team (GET) remove the items with a garbage form. The PK will assess the situation and may or may not grant your request. If the road in question is not one of those world-spanning roads and clearly meant to block your progress you may have a case of harassment. A PK will likely grant removal after a lecture on claiming the land first.

Expired Accounts

Finally the objects may be marked as belonging to NAC. NAC is a part of ancient Active Worlds history and it means "Not a Citizen." Currently anything you build is yours forever even if your citizenship lapses. If you go away and reactivate your citizenship everything you built before is still yours. In the mid 90s and AlpahWorld was young, back when you had to pick an object, duplicate it and push it for hours to get away from ground zero (there were

no seed objects then and I know people who put a brick on the mouse for a day or more). Many of these old accounts lapsed and AWI changed the objects to NAC. Several of these old builds were captured and moved by the AW Historical Society which was dedicated to preserving our early history but I digress.. If you encounter a NAC object feel free to request removal. Understand that if it is a complete build GET may not service the request.
