This is where you can get tips on places to visit from the "insiders". Canopus' Mars Recommendation

The renowned AW botmaker XelaG is also a prominent citizen of Mars, and he is, predictably, an accomplished designer of striking and useful buildings in the Elysium Region. So we've selected XelaG's buildings on the Cerberus Plain as the Mars Hotspot for August. XelaG has built a network of railways, railway stations, railyard service depot, an airport, a temple, and much other sophisticated construction, often in celebration of famous names from science fiction, like Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke.

You can reach the Cerberus Plain from the Elysium Spaceport (305N 504W 11A), taking the narrowgauge Zephyrus Railway down from the mountaintop to its terminus in the Zephyrus Valley (202N 505W). There you can either board the Hephaestus Tour and go directly to XelaG's transportation center (85N 500W 90), or you can transfer to a broadgauge train through the scenic Zephyrus Canyon, and get off at either Asimov or Clarke station. Travellers arriving from Earth at the Orbiting Space Station (0N 953W 30.6A), can take a rocket directly to Elysium Spaceport.

Big Eye - AW 5416.6S 18808E

Sorry about missing a couple of months, everybody!

This build, when looked at from *very* far away (you really need to use the Vevo Mapper for this), looks like a very detailed drawing of an eye. It's kind of hard to explain, but once you see it, you'll know what I mean :)

Waterworld - AW 3791.4N 27671E 3.2A 270

As the name indicates, water is something this town will never run out of any time soon! Part of Adventure County's core district, this town was modeled after the movie of the same name, and features all sorts of water-builds like houses on stilts, house boats, and sunken ruins. Probably the best thing about this town, however, is that it's not divided up into a grid of lots, like most towns. Lots are randomly scattered across the entire lake and are marked solely by a ring of poles. Tired of the same old street/lot towns? Then check out Water World!

Duskbat's Historical Recommendation

Another News letter. How time flys. This time we will go the alphaworld underground to a favorite place of mine to relax. I am happy to share with you all the Hidden City. Not much of a city but an underground flatland with some neat goodies to view. Big enough to get lost in, so just find and use a random teleport and see where it takes ya. Otherwise enjoy what Hidden City has to offer. A few lounges, a garden, and some neat arch builds. One time I spotted an avatar down there and it stayed there for a whole week! That’s mysterious ya know :) For now happy exploring and enjoy the Hidden City AW 1105.1N 634.2W 2.1A 345.

AWTeen's Recommendation

While builds I've recommended in previous months have been of the artistic type, this month's build serves an important purpose in AWTeen. The AWTeen suggestion box, located at AWTeen 1300S 0W, has been a valuable resource for Core, committee, and community members alike to share their ideas.

The suggestion box was constructed on June 10 by Mousty, who later joined the Core to head the AWTeen Patrol. Since then, some of the ideas taken from the box include lightening AWTeen objects, uploading new objects and textures that are completely different than AlphaWorld's, and instituting Thor, the new weatherbot (see the Bot of the Month Club).

As many committes are always looking for help, a special section in the suggestion box is available where citizens can leave signs if they would like to help out in AWTeen. Recent additions to committees include Chanty, RC Dodge Viper, and others who left their signs in the suggestion box area. If you would like to help out, or just have some constructive criticism, just visit the suggestion box area and leave a sign!
