Scary stuff wanted!

Halloween is coming! It will be upon us soon, along with the denizens of the realm of the dead: ghosts, goblins, trolls, and all the rest of the merry gang who just love to terrorize mere mortals.

In order to celebrate this turbulent time, the staff of the Yellow Gazette is once again calling on the skills and abilities of AW's builders to come up with suitable creations that will give the spooks a run for their money.

We have organised a suitable venue in Yellow for people to come join in the fun. Just go to Yellow 1627.56N 980.30E 0.04a 269 and select a plot of your choice.

This will be an exhibition of the eerier side of what citizens can come up with. What can you make for Halloween that will scare -- the pants off -- the viewers? Anything you can put in your plot is fair game, but we do ask that the following rules are adhered to:

The exhibition will be judged, but this is meant for fun and a creative attempt, and not a contest. The winners and their builds will feature in the issue of the YG that follows the Halloween Ball, of which more later. But -- do put Friday, 28th October 2011 into your diaries for the 2011 Halloween Ball. Starting at 9:00pm VRT, it will be a gala event.

To claim your plot, please contact Apooka or Ozman by telegram (or email to yellowgazette@cox.net)

And as a tip:  Think Spookpunk!

* Please, no mirrors (envi commands). They cause serious lag and slow everyone down around them.

* For the same reason, please do not use coronas either. Be mindful that really dense builds will cause everyone around it to slow down, making it harder to enjoy the experience.

* Stay within the boundaries of your plot, and this includes sound files and zones.

* Play nice, and have fun.
