Get To Know Your Neighbors!We think it would be great if everyone got a chance to get to know some of the volunteers in the community, and to find out why they love AW so much. This month we're highlighting the Gatekeeper of the Month, Luggage! If there's a volunteer you'd like to see us highlight, let us know! Meet Luggage! I'm a 34 year old mechanical designer from Oregon, USA. I found AW completely by accident in April 1999. I was surfing the net looking for 3D Models, and found some on this shareware site. There was this download for a 3D chat room called AW, and it said something about building or I would have ignored it as I wasn't a "chatter". I installed it on a Friday night, and believe it or not there was only 43 people on the entire universe. I began thinking, "Cant be very good with so few people using it." I explored a lot, and it was cool but I decided I'd blow it away the next day because it was so empty. Before I was going to uninstall I got the urge to check it one more time cause I am an extreme 3D nut.... I started making friends like Lady Ann (my first), and the more people I met, and the more I learned I could do the more addicted I became. I cant imagine what life would be like if I hadn't given AW a second chance. I partner the world Smirk with LANa (she is a hot shot builder), and build everywhere !!! LOL But I never seem to finish anything. My wife, daughter and son are also citizens and we recommend it to all our friends. Odd that I wasn't a chatter when I first started here but now people can't
shut me up. I hope to meet you all sometime, somewhere. :] :] :]
