Get To Know Your Neighbors!

We think it would be great if everyone got a chance to get to know some of the volunteers in the community, and to find out why they love AW so much. This month we're highlighting the long-time Gatekeeper (and ETL) Capaboo.

If there's a volunteer you'd like to see us highlight, let us know!

Meet Capaboo

I came to AW a long time ago. A very dear friend *brought* me there. I remember the download was horrific and the *GATE* had one kind of avi and it was so dark in there. I negotiated my way to Ground Zero. This was in the days of totally using your arrow keys and using powwow to try and not get lost when you wanted to go from the center. I can remember the *staff* of aw being at Ground Zero in those days and they were overwhelmed with questions.

I am so pleased to see the Gateway as we now know it. A very welcoming place and with the Gatekeepers to give the vital information and to reassure folks that we are friendly folk. It's a much nicer place. I was privileged to become one of the original Gatekeepers. I have met so many people through AW.. and hope to meet many more. I am so glad to be associated with this fine group. Thank you all. See ya at the gate!!

With the 3 year anniversary date of the inception of the Gate Keeper program this month, we would like to recognize a few of the volunteers who have been with the Gate Keeper program from the beginning. In a day and age when "commitment" can be a rarity, we are fortunate to have volunteers who have given of themselves to the betterment of our community. Special thanks and recognition for their long time service to the Gate Keeper program goes to Capaboo, Mauz, Mountain Myst and Zandorfa!
